This is one of the most unintentionally hilarious songs ever written

I know that repeating line melodies is a staple of folk, but this is too far. It's the same 2 line structure for over 3 minutes, and that structure happens to be very annoying to hear over and over with the rise on the second line. This would be genuinely unlistenable if it didn't have great lyrics and instrumentation in spite of all that.

I like the instrumental of the verses a lot, but the lyrics are pretty stupid and I can't stand the chorus

The bridge is an odd choice, but I wouldn't fully say it's a negative. Without it, the song would be pretty samey the whole way through, and the ending of it with Billy repeating "say your prayers" into the solo is really great I'd say. The whole thing could have fit better into the rest of the song for sure, but I think my score would be the same with or without it.

There is so little to even say about this song, it's just pachelbel's canon with generic lyrics and a generic guitar track to back it up.

Honestly J Cole kind of sucks on this song. His bars are fine enough, but it's like he didn't listen to any of 21's part before writing his verse.
