Bury Tomorrow - Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience

70 score after almost 100 reviews... you people must be smoking some excellent crack - shit's unlistenable. Do you enjoy rollling a die before giving a random album a score or do the voices in your head speak to you too much? The only redeeming quality about this album is the song "Waiting", it's kinda okayish. The rest is torture. Not gonna elaborate further - there's no hope for you if you don't hear it

The Devil Wears Prada - For You

Straight out of the gate - I like this song very much. Now, I am also aware that it might sound boring to some (a lot of?) people. TDWP sometimes do sound very mainstream/pop-leaning. Personally, this one here is not the case (but honestly idk, never was a huge fan, enjoyed some of the songs like a decade ago - hold on to the stones you wanted to throw at me)

"For you" oozes with TDWP energy. Yes, it's got this standardized radio rock form but who really cares about form if the ... read more

God, where do I even begin? Preparations for this album were non-existent: I just listened to the singles when I had the chance (YouTube recommendations or whatever), thought "No Loss, No Love" was a huge banger and the rest kinda fine/not really worth the attention. Now after listening to the whole thing and seeing 100s from critics all over the place... do you guys really goon this hard for Courtney LaPlante? I just couldn't understand how this is an an okay album even remotely ... read more

Imminence - God Fearing Man

Imminence are slowly growing on me, man. For a long time I found them a little gimmicky and not that interesting but this "new" (as far as I'm aware. Just realized: I missed an album by them that came out back in December) direction feels deliberate and very refreshing for the metal scene (but probably mostly for my own ears). Which brings us to this song - there is an extended version of the album "The Black" and it comes out the day after tomorrow (07.03), and this ... read more

Boundaries - Death Is Little More

While I initially liked the album a lot, it must be admitted - this one isn't supposed to be a universally (or even hugely) liked piece of art. I guess it is in some sense not even made for usual metalcore enjoyers.

The beginning is really strong. Turning Hate Into Rage is a very powerful, heavy intro and feels like a whole ass song. I found myself liking this a lot - a band could write an intro "for the vibes" and you as a listener are left to question what in the hell you ... read more

Bring Me The Horizon - Spotify Singles

While it was definitely unexpected, the announcement instantly screamed "they are gonna butcher it just a little bit, for laughs, right?!". And personally, that's what happened here... kinda.
WONDERWaLL: I think an opportunity was missed here. Being BMTH and having solid footing in heavy music could've been a match made in heaven for such an iconic song as Wonderwall. Instead, we can hear some heavy leaning towards the pop-punk scene and its signature sound. I don't ... read more

Architects - Blackhole
92

Wow, what a breath of fresh air. After an unfortunate streak of albums and singles (if I took out "Curse", which was a banger as well, I'll be left looking into something like 2018 for a song I liked, somewhere around "Royal Beggars" and "Doomsday") Architects really feel refreshed thanks to pairing with Jordan Fish (ex-BMTH). Jordan should just join the band full time at this point (I don't know if he wants to, it's just a personal wish).
