In my opinion, SZA smokes other female R&B contemporaries. Her production is more interesting, very glitchy and electronic at times on tracks like Anything and the dope synth on Love Galore. There is also sort of the rugged, boom bap hip-hop style of instrumentation with these super rich drums on tracks like Normal Girl and Doves in the Wind. Sure, her lyrics and thematic aren't that interesting of a take on modern, young love, however, the production and pretty stunning vocals makes up for it. I feel like she stands out among her contemporaries personally... Pretty much every track on this would smoke Boo'd up tbh...
