I feel like "Quintessence" is getting way too much hate for what it actually is, yeah, it has a much more commercial sound and is clearly inspired by modern experimental pop/synth from the west, but that doesn’t automatically make it a bad album or mean that taeyang "lost his essence" honestly, i think the album blends that global sound really well with the emotional vibe he’s always had.
