Madonna has pissed me off. I was hype for this era, but seriously what are these vocals? What is this mixing? Why does it sound like that?????????? Was Stuart Price producing this record with his ears closed? The individual elements of the track are cool in theory, but when you put them together, it just sounds incoherent and blurry. Also it's pretty boring which is a shame considering this is the same woman who made Music
A presumably good song until Gracie pulls out the most random and unfitting bridge in her career — never thought the bridge could be so appallingly weak but here we are
There is no purpose in listening to this album. It offers nothing that hasn't been given before-- and even in its attempts, it finds little reason to exist.
a masterclass in restraint. precisely crafted, subtle, and honestly breathtaking— im floored
i knew she had it in her !!!!!! gigantic step up from her debut
i dont like even harry but lets be honest. this is good. especially for his usual take on pop
this is the first song i actually enjoy from this rollout, which makes me incredibly sad as someone who LOVED going...going...GONE!
i have the feeling the record itself will probably be a miss, but i'm glad shes at least experimenting(?) with her aesthetic and sound... even if i find the direction more irritating than admirable
guys idk if im just high asf but this album is magnificent. it captures such an impressively elusive, cyber atmosphere without compromising on anthemic and danceable club beats, to the point it almost feels like an entity in itself. im very wowed
i really want to like this i really i want to like this i really want to
commits possibly one of the worst sins of pop music: its boring
...(minus three tracks-- tears, go go juice, and house tour are all serviceable)
i am so surprised. i feel like the clown.
from the singles, i was a little excited but ready to be disappointed, because i was expecting her sound to remain relevantly stagnant. but wow, not only does the lyricism contain the perfect amount of self-awareness, but its appropriately witty and has the ideal spread of occasionally weird production choices that keep you listening without being overwhelming or try-hardy.
i adore this. i could see some songs not building enough for people, but i ... read more
say what you will about the tracklist, but putting a song about the cathartic storm engulfing ethel's most important relationship back to back with the song of her falling in love is INSANE
maybe theres a few too interludes, but i'm too deep. this shit is amazing idc, esp the roughness of a knock on the door
the production on this insane. i didn’t buy all of tylers delivery, but god is he talented asf
reminds me a lot of q-mart by bjork, i loveeee this beat
