Danzig - Danzig

This record has a sound and a vibe that feels a little bit old for 1988, but, anyways, the record is great. Every single band member does a great job playing their instruments, but undoubtely Glenn Danzig is the best artist on the record nailing every single note he sings. The production, which was done by the one and only Rick Rubin, is amazing, I think he manages to catch perfection with simplicity.
The record begins really good with "Twist Of Cain", which has the album's best riff. Then, during the following 3 songs ("Not Of This World", "She Rides" and "Soul On Fire"), the level manages to stay good but not as great as in "Twist Of Cain". This until my favourite song from the record appears: "Am I Demon". It's such a great fucking song and it sucks that it loses popularity due to another song I really liked and was my 2nd favourite track from the record: "Mother". These tracks go continuously and it's great. From those songs to the end of the record, the quality of the songs goes down a lot but it's still good or, at least, decent.
I want to talk a little bit about "Am I Demon". The song has an amazing build up with that fire intro and it's followed up by a beautiful riff. The chorus is really good and really well sung by Glenn Danzig. Also the drumming on this track is really good and catchy.
My favourite tracks were:
1. "Am I Demon" (9,65/10)
2. "Mother" (9,5/10)
3. "Twist Of Cain" (9,25/10)
4. "Not Of This World" (8,35/10)
5. "End Of Time" (8,25/10)
