This was a very consistent album with great production and instrumentation. The lyrics were fun and carefree, and the singing was pretty good, both of which served well to the vibe of the album. Even though there were some good ideas, I wished they would diversify their sound slightly more on the album since it felt somewhat long for its runtime.

Compared to other classic rock albums, this album seems to master the old 60s rock sound and style very closely, but it seems much more complete and substantive. Something about the instrumentation seems very complete, almost like a different side of Led Zeppelin, and the lyrics are also very nostalgic and playful. It isn't a perfect album, but the cohesive sound and unique songs really make it stand out

Jose is great at playing the guitar, and the orchestral material on this album suits it very well. The whole soundscape is very beautiful and compliments his voice very nicely.

Although this is one of my first introductions to Indie music, I feel like The Backseat Lovers were able to create a sound of upbeat/emotional indie-rock that seems unique to this band. The singing and especially the lyrics were nice for setting the mood of the album. However, I wish that some of the songs were a bit more cohesive, as they often jumped from one idea to another without fully developing a certain motif/section of each song.

Definitely a step up compared to the last album in terms of sound and production, but I wish there was some more variety. The lyrics and singing stayed about the same from the previous album, but her vocals were able to shine slightly more on this poppier type of music.
