Currents started off very strong for me. Let It Happen and Yes I'm Changing are fantastic tracks and are top 10 Tame Impala tracks. However, everything after Gossip (besides 'Cause I'm a Man) started to blend together, in a negative way. Everything sounded pretty much the same to me. There was nothing really memorable about the second half; it just felt mediocre, boring, and generic to me (besides 'Cause I'm a Man which a killer track). Additionally, there were some tracks off Currents where Mr. Impala's voice sounded really squeaky and almost unbearable (e.g., Disciples, Past Life). Overall, this album is far from bad but it doesn't hold a candle to Lonerism. At least it isn't The Slow Rush...
