Same thing, same feelings, nothing new. An honest album doesn't mean a wonderful album, so we'll listen to it without displeasure, but like everyone else, when we want to hear Robert Smith's spleen, we'll listen to Disintegration again. The best song is the one with the lowest score (opposite right) because it's the most original: Drone:Nodrone.
Les Pixies en 2024, c'est comme les Rolling Stones en 1990, ils ne surprennent plus personne. A great first album with lots of influences and a very promising band
They used to be called a "punk-jazz" band, just because one or two song sounded like jazz, and because they had a saxophone (ok, it is played in a jazz way, but who cares really). But they were just a great post-punk band, dark and cynical, with a touch of crazyness and a lot of originality. Their music is often close to the one of Pere Ubu, which means quality.
Un groupe vraiment enthousiasmant, l'énergie n'étant que le contrepoint de leurs humeurs sombres. Rafraichissant et revigorant, sans oublier un vrai sens de l'humour et de la dérision.
