Phoebe Bridgers - Stranger in the Alps
92

I've really grown to love Phoebe after a few years of being indifferent. Listened to Punisher first and I feel like for that reason I like it a little more, but both albums are amazing. Stranger in the alps is so emotional and I definitely cried a couple times when listening to funeral. Love this album.

Power Snatch - ASSIGNMENT
85

The lyrics were the best part, just her being like "fuck men" for 2 and a half minutes. the beat's solid, pretty experimental for her, it's like a better version of "No friend" but it's still a spoken word thing so it's not higher.

Gracie Abrams - The Secret of Us
88

I liked it! I like more fun, pop aspect she went with this album and it's my favorite one of hers as of writing this. I just enjoyed the emotional lyrics of some songs, and how others made me wanna get up and scream it or dance around. Not saying everyone has to like it, I just did. It was my number 1 most listened to album in 2025 and I feel like it was just a fun album.

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
91

Another album that I really liked from Taylor. I'm not saying everyone has to like it but I really enjoyed the lyricism of (most of) the songs. This is probably my favorite album as of writing this and I like the sad girl vibes. That said, there are a couple songs that missed for me. I didn't appreciate this album until TLOAS came out but now I just like listening to it. Again NOT SAYING you guys have to like it or anyone's wrong for not liking it, I just like it.

Taylor Swift - Midnights

I really liked this album, just personal opinion. I feel like this kind of synthpop just worked for me, especially just because of the almost dream like production on songs like labyrinth and lavender haze, makes me feel like I'm kinda floating. A couple misses on it but still a good album. Not saying everyone has to like it, but I really enjoyed it.

Against The Current - In Our Bones

I feel like this is a solid album! I've seen a lot of people talking about how generic it is and I get it, but I also like all the different sounds on this LP. It immediately opens with a great track, and continues to build on it. Didn't love a couple of songs but they were still decent. Found ATC through Chrissy Costanza's solo work and I'm glad I did, probably my number 2 favorite band (as of writing this). Overall a really good debut album

I really liked this EP, fun production and each song felt like it brought something to the table. Love Chrissy as the lead singer of ATC and I'm glad she's doing some solo work too!

Chrissy Costanza - X (VII Deluxe)

I feel like even with 4 (basically 3) additional tracks, she added so much to this EP. I really hope she does a full length LP in the future, love these additions and a nice touch adding an acoustic track, not really any on the original EP (maybe I Tried to Act Your Age) but I really liked the additional tracks!

Wednesday - Bleeds
90

I wasn't expecting such a banger of an album. Opening with such a grungy track pulled me in immediately. First Wednesday album and I'm glad I gave it a listen, I like the switch between raw sounding vocals to soft, instrumental moments. The closing track was the only thing I was kind of disappointed with.

Ethel Cain - Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You
86

My first Ethel Cain album and I was just thinking " Jeez, really long album for 10 songs, like 7 minutes per song" yet 90% of it was amazing. Her vocals are so pretty, almost ethereal at times, got chills several times while listening. Really really good album, just 1 or 2 songs that didn't hit as hard as others.
Fav: Nettles

Florence + the Machine - Everybody Scream

First Florence album I've listened to, and I really liked this album. Something about her voice just pulls you in and it just made the listening experience better. Love the production on the album too, there were a few songs that were just okay but a majority were really good.

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party

So I'm gonna do it now that every track it out, write a review per song so sorry it's gonna be long,

Ice In My OJ: This was my first favorite track I had off the album when I listened to it on her website. I just love the chaotic sound it has, and the "Ah's" are just like I'm ascending to heaven or something. And the lyrics are honestly pretty funny but with an underlying serious tone "Lot of dumb motherfuckers that I made rich" being a great example. ... read more

It just added another 10/10 song, this album is so incredible.

Audrey Hobert - Who's the Clown?

Super fun album, love the playful and experimental sounds of this album, contrasting with the darker, heavier themes of the songs. Really good album :)

Annika Wells - into the undergrowth

Ever since I've heard 'her' with, I've really liked Annika's music. This was a nice, soothing, emotional little EP that's a good listen. Went to her concert at the rebel lounge in phoenix and i was chosen as the slumber party king too and that was just such an amazing experience seeing her live, making me fall in love with her music even more.

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever
88

I feel like this album is the perfect transition between WWAFAWDWG and HMHAS. She definitely beat the sophomore slump of music and this is a really solid album. There are 1 or 2 songs that I don't love most of the time but otherwise its such a good album to put on when you're studying or relaxing. A great mixture of calming like "my future" and then hits you with songs like "Oxytocin" where you just wanna yell the lyrics. Really good album

Hayley Williams - Petals for Armor
87

Personally this is her worst album, yet its still an incredible album. The composition is so experimental for her, and it eventually led to her other 2 solo albums which are also amazing. Overall a great album, top 2 are dead horse and crystal clear. There are a couple songs that I skip when I'm not in a specific mood which brings it down a little but otherwise, 90% of the tracks are no skip.
Fav: Dead Horse and Crystal Clear

boygenius - the record

I'm just gonna say, this was an amazing album, and I totally understand why it was #1 on the 2023 year end rankings. Love all 3 of these artists so it makes sense this album was great. The harmonies were interspersed perfectly to me, not so often that it felt like they were trying too hard but just a nice sprinkling.

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher
98

Every track on here invoked some kind of strong emotion, such a powerful album that got me through some very difficult times and I love it for that. Something about Phoebe's voice both soothes me and makes me cry, it's amazing. The only reason it's not perfect is there are 1 or 2 tracks that I don't love unless I'm in the right mood. Still a really really great album with an album cover that became my wallpaper.
