Intense, undoubtedly beautiful in start and finish, a bit grating at points in between.
The very best jazz fusion to come out of Japan in the seventies, despite having great competition. A very succinct collection of poppy jazz fusion; almost every song could've been a hit. Makes an alright day into a blast.
Such an intense and beautiful record. The sounds and the song structures are truly unique and live up to the free jazz moniker. Portrait of Linda is nigh transcendental.
Incredible, just incredible. Zawinuls organ on this sounds sublime and the guitar parts are just so beautifully minimalistic. The only shame is the constant tape hiss, which is also present on the masters.
