pretty standard post-bop, almost undistinguishable from many similar releases at the time
herbie and crew play solidly, but become limited through exact interpretations of jazz in the hard/post bop era
a lovely 90's flavored twee pop albums that sounds just as fresh as it did three decades ago,
not too familiar with this group, but the aftertaste of this record makes me want to enjoy more of their works
'the romantic' is indeed charming, but lacks substance and a greater significance. . .
. . we all recognize Bruno Mars for the icon that he is, through a continuation of pop dominance
bruno's solo return after almost a decade is one that sees him becoming comfortable with his image
there's really not enough to dig into with this record, as it all just sounds very much like plaster,
with pop mainstream appeal at the forefront of it all
the first track was enough proof ... read more

. . . elis & tom is more than a delightful and tasteful sampling of brazilian music
its an invitation to their worlds, their struggles, and to see life as they do themselves
elis regina's voice is that of an angel, perfecting the vision that jobim set when composing each of these songs
instrumentally drop-dead gorgeous, with hand crafted guitar, piano, string, and bass passages that are incredibly ... read more
deftones start off on the right foot
this is a solid demo, and a fantastic taste test of what was to come
although they wear their metal influences on their sleeve, there's a clear sign of curiosity from each member,
of what they could make of the sounds and styles they were producing
also very intriguing to see where chino started vocally
in retrospect, it is quite satisfying to see the beginnings of what would be 'deftones'
they carry their influences of reggae and nu-metal extremely tightly to their skin,
with the band opting for completely dub and ska feels here
answers is the more concentrated track here, with a unique musical vision of blending reggae grooves with hardcore metal passages
hogburg hop attempts, but drastically fails at the same premise
smooth yacht-pop inspired by many a city pop record. . .
. . . this album to me was underwhelming, and was less captivating than most city pop albums tend to be
I understand the more toned down and softer approach as opposed to more upbeat and bright moods,
but it really does not make a case for why these tracks needed to be slower in tempo
much of the album ends up being filler for me, with the exception of a couple essentials such as 'love was really gone',

everything about this track screams swagger
could not be more excited for the project!
baby keem's hiatus ending project feels somewhat short-sticked . . .
. . . baby keem's return to music after quite a while is an underwhelming one
much like rocky's project, there is just not much of a concentration here,
where every track feels like a loose compilation between the time of his last project and now,
with not much of a super hard hitting track
there's almost a mixtape approach here, with keem sounding like he has yet to prove his role within the greater ... read more
conscious, yet stunningly charismatic, 'to whom this may concern' offers more than just food for thought,
jill scott is an artist that I have yet to delve into, but this has me just astonished
production varies very much, whether we are hearing marching band esque- beats, or relaxing to some of the smoothest neo-soul you will hear
its incredibly consistent for how many themes are explored, those being freedom, individuality, sexuality, etc.

brilliantly produced and masterfully curated, charli xcx delves into a world of strings,
I think this album is incredible, is it her best, of course not
charli's pop sensitivities translate rather well into this style that she is pursuing
although the orchestrated bits can sound slightly watered down, there's enough to grasp onto for quite the experience
multi-faceted hip hop full of fun bars, deep reflection, and insane charisma. . .
this mixtape is one of few that I've listened to where each track carries its own premise
and still stands really strong without an obvious weak link
the features here brilliantly add their own spice, with idk always wrapping everything nicely together
always something fun around the corner for an amazing half hour of bliss
some interesting and fun late 90's europop energy, with a couple of absolute bangers
it's not very consistent although, and feels much more expanded than it needed to be
being chased by the devil, while holding on to wounds that are about to bleed out. . .
this album might be the most violent i have ever experienced
there's so much pain and horror portrayed, its truly not for the average listener
without a doubt, an impeccable genre-pushing project
every track feels more chaotic than the next, your mind can only take so much
its such a heavy listen, that even, for what i would consider, my 'trained ears' suffered and got stranded ... read more
an over the top digital explosion, sure to require all the energy within your soul. . .
this record is intense.
it requires such an insane amount of energy to process, which is my only critique
other than that, it is an exceptional exploration of digital sounds and how mind-melting of an experience it can create
truly masterful production, nothing short of the most adrenaline filled experience of the year
the tightest, grooviest, funkiest jazz fusion you'll hear played live. . .
great showing of accessible and yet fun jazz funk/fusion
this group is technically trained and shows it on this record, with loads of impressive improvisation
never sacrificing an ounce of charm while they perform
incredible explorations of jazz on a statement of a debut album. . .
weather report are among my favorite jazz groups, and this release is not short of their most daring work
the atmospheric, textured, and dissonant sounds allow for storms of rhythm to induce a type of paralysis on your mind
this album certainly finished stronger than it starts, but delivers pure artistry for the majority of its life
astonishing metalcore record, never skipping a beat, from legends who've dominated for decades. . .
. . . converge is a band that i have been wanting to delve into, and why not with this new release
this record kicks so much ass, and does little to tarnish the experience

infectiously divine and eccentric left-field pop. . .
i did not expect to enjoy this as much as i did,
the vocal performances are incredibly top tier

one of joy, suffering, but utter reconcilement
super intriguing debut, with cravings left for more
