No, this wasn't aoty in an anti-grunge conspiracy, it won because it's incredible! Great standards album that carries such emotional weight. It's pretty odd how you guys wanna discredit the first Black woman to win this category for mediocre whiny white guys but I digress.

Even worse than Short n Sweet, Man's Best Friend exists seemingly only to stir controversy with shallow lyricism centered about sex and musical incoherence. The production is okay, vocals serviceable, and "Go Go Juice" was an enjoyable listen, but that's pretty much where the praise ends.
