Ah the Sugargliders were one of Melbourne's best indie pop bands back in the late 80s....swinging tunes with great pop edges.. Ahprahran is a lost gem of pop brilliance. I'd like to mention that my band Captain Cocoa gave them their first gig but that would only be bragging..

A collection of great melodic pop songs from the Bluebells - never betraying their twee jangle pop origins and Scottish peers (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, Altered Images), the Bluebell's songs have fantastic hooks, sort-of soulfull (such as I'm falling) and harmonica! Absolute "Pure schmaltzy joy" as the Plague Review wrote in their review. My favourite songs would be A Postcard to Nina and Shirin. The instrumentation is varied and really nice, as are Jens' dulcet tones.
