Faye Webster - Underdressed at the Symphony
60

Very vibey soft instrumentals that are complimented well with Faye's voice especially was cool to see a lot of these live, but a lot of this album feels weird and unnecessary like Feeling Good Today and He Loves Me Yeah! are just absolute skips with the implementation with the weird autotuned vocals. Tracks like Thinking About You are classic Webster hits though and save the album from being super underwhelming

ESPRIT 空想 [Esprit Fantasy] - 200% Electronica
85

One of my favorite vaporwave projects, peak atmosphere and builds a great soundscape for you to drift away into.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
90

Absolute bangers back to back, whole album hits like an anthem for the west coast, could be perfect but there's just a few points that are a bit too silly for me to listen to. Reincarnated is perfection

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
70

Really cool thematic album with a really rocky and emotional ride through a lot of Tyler's lows and highs throughout his journey, nothing different to expect from the production and writing of his previous work, all the way through a really engaging listen. Tyler's vibe and sound always really sticks with me and has me returning but I find myself a enjoying this one a bit less than his older stuff

Steven Wilson - The Harmony Codex
80

As an artist who is mainly renowned for his prog-rock work he's made an album with new ideas that I was able to appreciate all the way through, really rich electronic production, with the ambient title track being one of my personal favorites which really was unlike anything I expected Steven Wilson to have made from listening to his previous work. There is still a lot of prog influence present, especially in tracks like Impossible Tightrope, but it's still just as engaging and ... read more

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
85

Really versatile and different from anything he's done in the past, in this project of scrapped tracks its a lot of experimentation but fleshing out a lot of his ideas into really cool and rich tracks with a lot of personality.

George Clanton - Slide
85

Fell in love with this album and the artist on the first listen, all songs have a really spacious psychedelic / chill wave reminiscent production that is paired with nostalgic 80's-90's influences and is just a really awesome listen all the way through. George's newer work is a bit more fleshed out but this is still some of my favorite work of his

George Clanton - Ooh Rap I Ya
90

The production and instrumentals of this album are really just something different that I can't find with any other artist, overall a really satisfying combination of a unique psychedelic sound and vaporwave-ish aesthetics that carry over from his previous work that just tie together into an amazing experience all the way through from moments of upper beat hypnagogic pop to laid back trips through a really dense soundscape.

TV Girl - Fauxllennium
70

Huge fan of all of George Clanton's other work and there's a lot to love about this album, Everything Blue and Butterflies are absolutely incredible tracks but the project as a cohesive whole was a little unimpressive, was definitely an enjoyable experience though and just left me wanting a little more
