Victoria Monét - JAGUAR II

First time listener here, and i gotta say that the album is fantastic, with each song standing on its own and Victoria writing the most of it herself. The album is so rich and distinct, with a deep tone that distinguishes it from other R&B performers. Will love to hear more like this in the future.

Quavo - Rocket Power

Despite some tracks being boring/repetitive, the lyrics and innovative production make up for it. His ability to carry tracks independently is also shown by the lack of features. Even if there is a slight change in quality later on, it still makes for a decent album. RIP Takeoff.

Best song(s): Mama Told Me, Hold Me

Imo one of the best unreleased albums of his alongside Yandhi.

Injury Reserve - By the Time I Get to Phoenix

I am speechless. It's amazing what these musicians accomplished in their final performance as a trio. This album's jumbled voices and instrumentals, which convey rage, sorrow, sadness, and a host of other emotions, make no sense, but also do. It seems as though the music is speaking to you and expressing its sorrow over the passing of a dear friend and life partner. Rest In Power, Groggs.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
93

The College Dropout is Kanye's debut album, focusing on his struggle with school, balancing music and classes. The album explores the aftermath of dropping out, with songs like "We don't care" revealing the challenge of living in the inner city, (Kanye) reassuring the drug dealers that they're doing what they need to do to survive. Kanye West - ye
91

Kanye West's 9th studio album "ye" is one emotional rollercoaster that dives into the topic of mental health and self conflict.
"I Thought About Killing You" explores suicidal and murderous thoughts, as seen in the verse "I think about killing myself, and i love myself way more than i love you" which shows the complexity of multiple feelings involved. "Yikes" and "All Mine" touch controversial themes with honesty. "Wouldn't Leave" ... read more
