One of the qualities that I love about Nicolas Jaar is that he's not contained whatsoever by musical norms. His material is so hard to categorize, ever changing, ever molding, ever pushing the envelope of what a song can look like. This album is a perfect showcase of that sentiment.

I feel like with all of the mainstream praise this album has received a lot of people are being unreasonably harsh on this album, nitpicking the very things that make it stand out. It's getting to the point where I really had to question what I genuinely felt about the album.

The Strokes make an impressive comeback sounding just as good as their classic era. An amazing indie rock album.
Yet another great indie pop album this year. Lots of themes of love and introspection delivered with great grooves and dreamy vocals, reminiscent of US Girls "Heavy Light" earlier this year.
