Radiohead - Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003-2009)

Crazy how they'll re-release their album about the rising tide of fascism ... while basically being okay with Israel's ongoing genocide in Palestine.

Also no live version of "punch up at a wedding"??? But that song rules! Lame

Charley Crockett - Dollar A Day

Mostly bland instrumentals paired with uninspired writing. The singles didn't do much for me. The album wasn't carefully curated, although the stretch of songs from "Santa Fe Ring" to "I Stay Ready" had me hoping the album's 2nd half would pick up in a way it never delivered on.

Not the best batch of songs from Crockett, although if you enjoy a classic country sound with a plethora of americanisms you'll probably be walking away satisfied.

been a (mostly) lifelong jack white / stripes fan, and as much as I've enjoyed the artistic flair of his solo albums, I admit I love the return to form with this project.

on a first listen I was on the fence. the tracklist seemed lacking bariety and by the end I was exhausted of jack whites guitar slapping me in the face. I was hoping for some simplistic piano or acoustic cuts sprinkled in there, like an early stripes album. but the more I listen the more I'm okay with the flow. ... read more
