Yawn.

Surprisingly inconsistent, but when it bangs: it bangs hard. Maybe not as much as his previous inputs, but it still bangs.

Some songs also made me laugh a bit due to its instrumental / lyrical content (ekhm ekhm Meet the Dealers and The 1st Amendment).

It isn't anything abysmal, or garbage, but it was for the most part: boring :(

pros:
- CIRCLE is surprisingly ok, essentially worse Puththi (which is decent)
- JESUS has a decent instrumentation
- RIDE THE SKY has drums similar to Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps' "The Ditty" warmup (a.k.a. Deaf Grapez "Hacker")
- "TRUMPET" interludes have samples from her older works. Nice touch

cons:
- everything else

my GOAT is truly washed :(

Wow... I'm honestly amazed by this album. This is their best input since Song Machine (dare I say it's better than Song Machine), and I think this album should've been made/released after Song Machine, not "shit from butt" known as Cracker Island.

My main complaint about Cracker Island is that it had only 2-3 actually enjoyable tracks, and the rest was either average, mediocre, or straight up a humongous dud. The Mountain fixed this by having 2 "duds" (which ... read more

I'm only rating the bonus tracks here, since to be honest: I don't really care that much about live content. Maybe I'll take a look at these later, but right now I don't intend to do that.

All of these bonus tracks have one positive thing in common: they're melodic, and their melodies are decently executed, so one shouldn't be disappointed in this aspect.

However as for the songs themselves:

Survive is the first track here that I can consider "great". ... read more

The more I listen to this album, the more I realize how flawed it is.

If not for its hit or miss nature, then certainly for its straight up abysmal mix&master (it's especially noticeable in Cut the Bridge and Casualty). Ofc there are some bangers (mainly The Emptiness Machine and Two Faced), but even then they're not as good, as LP at their best form.

Overall: inconsistent, and lacking. Wouldn't listen to it again except like 2-3 tracks

Best Track: Two Faced / The ... read more
