The greatest album of the sequel trilogy. With almost no misses, this album shines. With songs like "Lerdo Law" and "Tacubaya" with more emotional themes, and songs like "Marquez" and "Flight of Juarez" with more upbeat themes, this album has it all. A great second album for the Egads! Mariachi sequel trilogy. With many shining stars like "Quiet Sector of a Quiet Front," the most popular Egads! song to date, but the album also has some failures. The final song of the album, "The Strike", is one of the most mocked songs in all of Egads. This album has one of my personal favorite songs of all Egads!, "City Chase."
Egads! Mariachi 4 is a near perfect album! With many new styles as seen in PEMEX and Revolution, a new industrial theme is brought to the Egads! Mariachi series, as well as bringing some new references to Mexican culture. Overall, a wonderful start to the sequel trilogy of Egads! Mariachi.
A truly disappointing album from C.D. James. One of the worst albums thus far in the entire Egads! Series. The only saving grace for this album was De Espaldas, which was a very good song, and Memorials, which is still not great, but was way better than the others. Many of the other songs felt like either too much was going on or just had strange mixing. C.D. James should've stopped while he was ahead, the sequel trilogy.
Egads! Mariachi 3 is a wonderful combination of the mariachi elements as seen in Egads! Mariachi 1, along with new rock elements and also a hint of Christian messages. Todo and Where We Started were two of my favorites from the original trilogy.
