Words cannot describe how phenomenal of a duo Outkast is...certainly the best duo to ever grace the genre of hip-hop. Both Andre and Big Boi bring impeccable flows, creative lyrics, enthralling vocal deliveries, and engaging subject matters over some pretty fantastic beats.
While some, including me, prefer Dre over Big, both MCs are pretty damn equal in what they do. Both Atlanta MCs bring some really unique and impressive lyrics, filled to the brim with internal rhymes and awesome stories told. Their subject matters are also quite diverse, rapping about everything from sex to Southern anthems.
However, the beats balance the lyrics too. Organized Noize handles most of the beats here, although the duo crafted some pretty fantastic instrumentals for the project. They have a very extraterrestrial feel to them. I guess you could say it's out of this world. :)
In conclusion, this is easily one of the best albums ever created. It's such a well-rounded album and it's pretty accessible even to a mainstream audience. Dre and Big fit the role of the ATLiens, as they are some of the most other-wordly Atlanta residents ever. :)
