This album truly highlights all of Gunnr's verstility. It has light tones, extremely dark tones, and somber and melodic tones which give Gunnr ample opportunities to show off his talent. I wish i found out about him earlier!
I absolutely love slayr’s style in this album, and his lyricism and flows were extremely impressive. Keeping this guy on my radar from now on.
Not very impressed by this project. His style is extremely experimental and it didn’t work in his favor for many of these songs. There are a few good pieces on this project, though; Big Ben and Harajuku. I feel like he could do so much better. I’d still recommend for an open minded person to listen to this and broaden their horizons for sure, though.
A solid album, with solid tracks. A few interesting choices, mostly great production throughout the album.
Listening to this, I can find where Rich Amiri has really been able to shine, which is his melodies. He’s improved so much since this album, and I’m hopeful for his future.
I personally believe this is J. Cole’s best album. I enjoyed every aspect of this record and the themes showed throughout were touching and relatable. J. Cole showcases his storytelling abilities as well as carefully curating his flow and lyricism to make sure the songs holds themselves together.
Similar to his other albums, The Weeknd shows his musical diversity in terms of beats, lyrics, and flows. A example of his diversity could be used with “São Paulo” feeling more like a club track and “Reflections Laughing” telling us a story about his mental health struggles while being an artist and public figure. A very strong album to begin the year with, and a possible contender when it comes to the 2025 music awards, but we’ll have to see!
