Like the beginning part quite a bit with the drums and piano.

Pretty standard calm jazz, not a whole lot going on, but it's well done. Drumming is done well, and the piano is nice I guess. Still a bit slow and trite as calm jazz goes.

Circles is Mac Miller's first posthumous album, and it takes a different sound as many of the tracks take a softer sound with guitars. Many of the ideas of addiction and "swimming in circles" are expanded upon here, as this (from what what I understand) was supposed to be a companion album to Swimming. I like this album, but the reviews for I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU are treating this like a sort of mind breaking, innovative record that will shift the basis of music.
Let me be clear, I like JPEG's creative production and choices on this album, and his features work well, from Denzel Curry's feature to Buzzy Lee's, they work well into the songs. This album is wonderful, and is mainly up here to the excellent choices regarding production and Mac's vocals. The production blends in wonderfully with Mac Miller's vocals, and the songs as well are wonderfully low-key and variate from each other with production. I do not know the personal history of Miller and what transpired towards the end of his life, but this album beautifully paints a picture of it without turning his sadness into an exaggerated aesthetic.
