underscores - Wallsocket (Director's Cut)

An introduction into the genre for me, Wallsocket (Director's Cut) was very good for the most part, with a few amazing tracks, 1 90+ track.

The storytelling and lyricism here is brilliant, there are some amazingly dramatic moments of utter bliss where you think it can't get any better. I never actually listened to the original, but this extended cut adds some really amazing songs to an already brilliant album.

The 2 longer songs on this really sealed it, made it so much more ... read more

I don't really know what to say about Dauntless Manifesto. Album name is nice.

I'm sorry, but this was unnecessarily long and grotesque. I suppose to some this could be seen as funny, but to me it's just revolting.

Boldy James - Across The Tracks

Overall a very solid album from Boldy James & Conductor Williams, I haven't listened to any prior music from either, but I was quite impressed with Across The Tracks. It has some very nice beats and - for the most part - the lyrics sync in well.

Although I feel like Across The Tracks would end up being more of jazz rap background music, It does do that well.

The opening and closing tracks especially, I enjoyed.

'MEGAN' is the latest release from Megan Thee Stallion, and is an interesting journey. I haven't really been exposed to this more southern hip-hop/trap music before and it was sure... interesting. My main issue with this is how I struggle to picture myself actually listening to this over anything else, when would you? And I think it's excepted for those more experienced with this genre, but gosh it was uhm... very sexually orientated. This listen exposed me to the word ... read more

Imagine Dragons - LOOM

'LOOM', is a rollercoaster of music, there are a few highpoints that had me enjoying the music, yet it always fell straight back down with some lame, boring and repetitive song. And despite the immensely short runtime of 27 minutes, it felt rushed and dragged on.

Overall 'LOOM' falls short of anything new for Imagine Dragons, it's the same they have always done - not in a good way.

Camila Cabello - C,XOXO

Had some 'okay' moments, but overall falls short of being a 'good' album.
C, XOXO doesn't really break any new grounds, sure, their are some nice beats and big collaborations, but nothing much is achieved altogether. The three sub-1 minute songs don't really achieve anything besides increasing C, XOXO's length, which isn't something we want more of anyway.

Reading the name of 305tilidie gave me a stroke.

Lupe Fiasco - Samurai

Day 1 into the Holiday Project and we've already got the AOTY.
This is absolutely incredible, some amazingly flowy beats and smooth lyrics, I don't really have any criticism for this. each instrument is played perfectly to contemplate each other, and Lupe kills the lyrics - which by the way are incredible. Samurai is an album that has you enjoying it all the way through, it does not let up. And to start with Samurai, end with Til eternity? Beautiful.
I believe some may poke at ... read more

Honestly, going into this I did not expect much.
I was very wrong.
The transporting ambiance is amazing, and Lil Yachty's vocals are amazing. There are no tracks on this that let it down , but nor is there any that really stand out.

A absolutely amazing start for Lil Yachy's journey into alternative R&B
