This album has some great highlights, even more than their previous record that was dropped earlier this year !
Navy Blue is one of the greatest and more consistent artists out of the Abstract Hip Hop scene, who is probably the one with the better messages.
Blood Orange drops an album with great instrumentation, but the record gets a bit too chill in its second half.
The vocals are insane but I wished the track list was a bit more consistent.
Really good debut, that is beautiful all around, though the album sequencing is for sure not the best I've seen this year.
The sound is great, the rapping is great, the message is even better.
Probably the most hit or miss record in my entire year end list, but the best tracks on here (and there are quite a few insane tracks) are some of the most fun and hard-hitting tracks of the year, that I've been putting on repeat so much. Some other tracks are just OK.
While the track listing loses a bit of steam in his last leg, it still shows Lifeguard as an exciting band that's capable of performing great tracks.
Extremely fun release from Ninajirachi, that showcases a lot of talent !
Insanely beautiful record from a new artist that I hope will continue to impress us in the future.
It's ambitious, inspiring, and beautiful, which is all we could have guessed considering Quadeca's latest pieces of work.
Just like the Aesop Rock record, this album is also 18 tracks, and it is also one of the most consistent records of the year. It's not mind blowing but still makes up for an amazing listen, especially considering the effort that's been put in regarding the length and the passion.
