FATWF keep adding new elements to their sound, and simultaneously grow even tighter as a band. Leaning further into the punk angle that they took for a test run on Data Doom, this album delivers their punchiest performances to date.
Favorites: Channel Rot -> T.V. Baby, Dead Silence, Fucksake, Eggs Laid Brain, Conducting Experiments, Gutter Priestess
Those first two singles kinda did this album dirty. Potion, along with the rest of the non-singles, employ much more colorful writing and production making for an extremely nostalgic and charming listen. This could quite possibly be Djo's most well-rounded and dynamic release to date
Favorites: Lonesome Is A State of Mind, Potion, Fly, Charlie's Garden, Gap Tooth Smile, Back On You
Least Favorites: Basic Being Basic, Delete Ya
About the quality one would expect from Foals at this point with the group dwindling down to 3 main band members. Life Is Yours is a very consistent and enjoyable effort but lacks the depth that they once had. Though their sound is beginning to thin out, this remains a very impressive piece of work considering it was made by only 3/5 of the original band.
