Injury Reserve, formerly a three-piece hip hop group from Phoenix, Arizona, have released their first album after the passing of one of their members, rapper Stepa J. Groggs. most of the album was made before his passing on June 2020, and got completed over the course of the almost year and a half without Stepa, with only rapper Ritchie With A T and producer Parker Corey.
but, contrary to their other releases, By The Time I Get To Phoenix is not a hip hop album.
it is not a rock album.

Today's album is Jon Hopkins' Immunity, released on the 3rd of June 2013 under the Domino label.
The album is 8 tracks, just over an hour long, and amazing all the way through the end.
Now, let's go TBT (which is a fun new casual way to say track by track that is in with the youth):
We Disappear starts with a sample of someone entering a building, while the actual song fades in, which i think symbolizes Jon ... read more

hey y'all, it's your friendly neighborhood secret fourth member of Death Grips Hypercollider here, and hoo boy, we got another ambient vaporwave album to check out.
The album in question is Birth Of A New Day, or 新しい日の誕生, by vaporwave duo 2814.
I went into this album with pretty decent expectations, since it's one of the most critically acclaimed vaporwave albums ever, but...idk it ended up being sorta underwhelming.
For context, the last vaporwave album I've heard was ... read more

Y'all this thing is fucking great. I don't really listen to much ambient music, not because i don't like it but because i just haven't gotten to it yet, but after being recommended this album i gotta say, it has to be my favorite ambient record as of now. This album feels like dying, ... read more
