this ep is insanely good (just ignore the skit on poison). i think the name and cover perfectly describe the sound of it. its something you throw on late at night while smoking
The highs on here are amazing, but i think the middle of the album drags on and feels kinda boring. BUT FUCK I LOVE BAD LUCK BRO YALL DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND IT
might be back from my break, idk. life just been lifing a lot recently and havent had the chance to listen to a lot of music.
Ohh brent man. god i love this album. ive been bumping a lot of RnB recently and this album has by far been the thing ive listened to the most. i just cant get enough of this mans voice. i think Sonder Son will forever stay as Brent's best album, as i doubt he will ever make something as relatable again. while i love Brents newer music, this album has such a ... read more
i can't lie i was kinda nervous for this album, the preluxe and single "WRK" wasnt up to he quality standard JID as set for himself. so i was honestly ready for this review to be negative but god... JID came through man. i should have never questioned him. while this isnt has good as TFS its still and incredible body of work.
throughout the album you get these super aggressive rapping rapping tracks, where JID is just baring up. and some more vulnerable melodic songs which all ... read more
anytime Daniel
im a HUGE fan of Daniel's work and im super excited for this upcoming album... but this single is nothing special. its a very average Daniel Caesar song with not that much else going for it. maybe itll grow on me tho who knows
LMAO THIS SHIT SO ASS BRO.
I don't like Drake but i never wanna be seen as one of those corny ass haters. this man can and has made some good ass music. but its obv that he doesnt care anymore man. like wtaf is this shit bro. its so boring and soulless. I wasnt really excited for "iceman" but i wasnt completely counting it out either. first solo Drake project since the beef, ofc thats gonna make me turn my head... but like bro, if this is the kinda songs you decide to promote ... read more
first off, i wanna say im not the biggest fan of really old school rap, i think the beats and mixing sound kinda empty which makes it kinda boring to listen to. but this album has very little of that (tho the mixing is still kinda iffy at some points)
Nas's "Illmatic" for many people stand has the greats rap album oat and i can for sure see where they are coming from, tho i do think its slightly overrated the quality and influence of this record should not be trifled with. ... read more
this is my 200th review, which was supposed to be "illmatic" but ill be listening to that tmrw, so itll be my 201th review instead.
anyway, tyler's 2nd album in under a year with "DON'T TAP THE GLASS". Tyler made it clear this was just supposed to be a fun album to dance to, and while im not sure ill be dancing to this, it sure as hell is a fun album. the big standout here and what really carries the album for me, is the production. its so fun and hype, i ... read more
i despise this new trend with those awful layered vocals. its straight up painful to listen to
Pusha T: "Travis you a fucking whore with no loyalty"
Travis: "you old tho"
anyway. I know this is a "label" album but ima just kinda look at it as a little side project from Travis himself, cause that how it feels with 11 out of the 17 songs having him on them. When "Utopia" came out I was excited to see Travis evolve artistically, and we did get a glimpse of that on the first half but it quickly became as boring and repetitive has most other trap ... read more
this should really just have been a 7 track ep with those first 7 tracks on it.
I cant lie, i was actually kinda interested in this album, with the way Justin has been moving recently i was hoping we would see some kinda of evolution artistically... we didnt really. i was kinda ready to defend him in the beginning but as soon as i heard Druski saying he was black i lost all faith in the album. i feel like this is just the usual Justin package with slight more R&B instrumentals, other than ... read more
found him through McKinley's feature stayed for his amazing production, rapping and singing. genuinely and incredible artist
over 20 years into their career they have made their best album (including Pusha's solo work)
This was everything i could have asked for an more. Pusha T as a now 48 year old man only keeps getting sharper with his lyrics. but that wasnt really a surprise, the people who shocked me on here were Malice and Pharrell. Malice comes back and just raps like he never left, out shining his younger brother on most of the songs. its genuinely crazy how natural this rapping shit is for him. and god ... read more
add some really good songs to the already super solid album. tho i dont really like the remixs that much.
the best character from victorious makes music and its damn good.
"MUTT" is a really smooth listen. Leon is a great singer and song writer, tho i do feel the album can be slightly repetitive.
Drake is back baby... after only being gone for a few months lol.
idk we make it a big thing when this guy release music bro. we all know we got something new an mid right around the corner.
anyway, Drake is back with "What Did I Miss" which is a pretty decent song ngl. it starts off really strong, with an amazing beat and some pretty good rapping. but after the beat switch the song loses all its energy and never really gets it back.
is he just biting Frank and Daniels whole thing, yes. is he damn good at it, also yes.
my only real problem is a lack of anything new. i feel like ive already heard every song on here before
i love JID... but this aint it. im still exited for GDLU but everything he has released beside "BEAU" has been pretty mid. tho i will admit "WRK" has grown on me.
"Behold" and "Lisa" are the only songs worth anything on here. also why does Em almost like its AI, not saying it just sounds so weird with the mixing
The rapping and production are both pretty good, but there is just really nothing here. It’s boring and uninventive
