Yes, experimental, meaning new sounds. Started with my favourite Blur song "Tender", a great, beautiful song with gospel-inspired harmonies always makes me want to sing along to this song. When I thought this song was gonna set the tone throughout the whole album, nope, they hit me with some experimental elements that were absent from all of their records before this. The addition of sounds from electronica, shoegaze, and noise music further broadens the musical palette and creates a really intriguing record that defies categorization as dull.
