Frenzied piano and strings lead the way, and I love the fact that the first track is called 'Interlude'. This is Kris Davis' message that we (the world, or people in it) are in an Interlude between the mammoth climate threat and our limited attempts to prevent it. The whole record is a warning on climate change...and against denial.

Like all good records, 'Dream Archives' doesn't always sit tightly within one genre. The opening is haunting. I have been waiting for a record like this since New Year.
