enjoyable enough, but quite the letdown after how much i loved keem's debut. in an effort toward a more serious record, keem loses much of the off-the-wall creativity that made "the melodic blue" so addicting. the instrumentals are safer, the song structures are safer, and keem displays only a hair of the eccentric flows, melodies, and vocal performances in which he once thrived.
the fun tracks are less interesting, and keem doesn't quite seem to have the juice as a writer ... read more
surprisingly varied and interesting, drags a touch but not nearly as much as you'd expect given the runtime + artist combo. never really can tell what level of effort you're going to get with conway, but he came correct on this one - easily his best work since GDMM
sabrina carpenter continues to stretch out a song’s worth of subject matter onto an entire album, failing to do much particularly interesting with it over the 38 minute runtime. sonically more interesting and varied than short n sweet, but just as much of a lyrical & emotional goose egg.
i wish i had a more analytical verdict than this, but it kinda just feels like sabrina don’t got the juice.
when did you get hot is a hit, tho

Alchemist is in top form on this one, delivering layered samples and instrumental earworms as has become expected of him at this point.
2 Chainz himself is also on his A game, coming with his usual barrage of quotables and hilarious lines but this time with a pretty nice array of inventive and entertaining flows.
Unfortunately, Larry June is here too.

was pleasantly surprised when i woke up to the release of this album, only to be rather disappointed after listening.
conway is my favourite artist out of griselda, but he undeniably phones in all of his verse on this project. the verses are still decent, as his sheer talent level gives him a high floor even without much effort, but nowhere near what i've come to expect of conway.
ransom mostly comes with his A game as per usual, lacing his verses with incredible flows and tons of ... read more
a cheap imitation of his past self - it's certainly enough to fool his fans into thinking they're getting the "old em" despite it lacking any of what made those first few records so great to begin with
with SSLP and MMLP, eminem had his finger on the pulse - a thorough understanding of the cultural zeitgeist. it allowed for him to pick the perfect topics and the perfect angles to attack these topics with his over-the-line satirical bars. in 2024 eminem is deeply out of ... read more
