What an emotional journey this was to listen to, but I cannot fathom trying to continue an album and finish it after your singer passes away. It’s a haunting feeling to listen to a posthumous record, and this is no exception. But, that’s not to say that it doesn’t excel as an album, because damn it does. Spiritbox had a tall task to somehow top their huge debut record from 2021, and goddamn, they did it. I can say with confidence that this is an overall better record, flows seamlessly and holds so much more compact emotion than before. Courtney sounds amazing, Mike Stringer is a machine and the atmosphere… atmosphere’s…? Either way or however you want it said, this was great and the one or two “duds” are still enjoyable on their own.
