Make Them Suffer - Worlds Apart

Personally, their record before this was a “fluke,” so coming back and doing this album was a huge step in the right direction. While still trying to find their footing, they created some amazing tracks with Sean and Nick really carrying the weight of the entire record. It’s filled to the brim with some incredible riffing and demonic vocals at times, and the catchiness is through the roof. I’d say I’m far from suffering, so no need to make me do a damn thing.

Let’s be honest with ourselves here; Sleep Token won’t match the magic and power they had with their first two records, but what they’re creating now is still damn good. Even as my least favorite album from them, it still manages to grapple me in with MOST songs and keep me there in a chokehold. Oops. Vessel sounds unreal here and his vocals just keep getting better with every single album. One of my favorite songs they’ve ever written lives here, and also one of my ... read more

What an emotional journey this was to listen to, but I cannot fathom trying to continue an album and finish it after your singer passes away. It’s a haunting feeling to listen to a posthumous record, and this is no exception. But, that’s not to say that it doesn’t excel as an album, because damn it does. Some of their best work is on this record and that’s more than obvious. I hope everyone in TCTT has found peace and as always, rest in peace, Keaton Pierce. ... read more

Spiritbox had a tall task to somehow top their huge debut record from 2021, and goddamn, they did it. I can say with confidence that this is an overall better record, flows seamlessly and holds so much more compact emotion than before. Courtney sounds amazing, Mike Stringer is a machine and the atmosphere… atmosphere’s…? Either way or however you want it said, this was great and the one or two “duds” are still enjoyable on their own.

Just a preface, I’m not going to be mentioning any comments on any interludes, overtures or transmissions. They’re cool and add to the story, but to give these thirty second or less snippets a semi-paragraph each would be asinine. Again, they’re cool, but not worth a proper description for each. ... read more

I think the title is pretty self explanatory. Only one album per band.
