Old school meets the new, and we get: OPUS. Potentially his best, but showing potential that there is so much more he can do with this.
Wild turn from Ryan, yet unique. One thing that he'll never be is generic, and I respect that a lot. Not my favorite, but definitely not the worst. Handful of standouts, but that's pretty much it.
Everything that the last had going for it and more, Ryan seemed to have found himself in this genre
Ryan at his best, arguably the best album in this Pop Punk/Trap era. Really stood out and showed what he was capable of
Pretty solid and vulnerable lyrics, enjoyed the simple yet effective instrumental. Overall a good song to start off the next album rollout.
fyi AOTY is the "Twitter/X" of music reviews. Bunch of faceless people hating just to feel some sort of validation
Was not expecting this style, but I think it's a bop. If the album has this vibe overall, it'll be lit in my opinion
It seems that he took all the negative criticism from his last project and forced himself to live up to people's expectations, didn't focus on commercial bangers and instead he delivered a consistent project, with slick instrumentals and clever lyricism. Short, sweet and frankly his best body of work so far.
Loved the production on this, MOD's atitude was dope, some of his vocal performances were dope, and in general it was a pretty consistent album overall. Despite track number 5 being the biggest switch up of all, it didn't feel out of pocket at all!
Quadeca continues to evolve exponentially in every way possible with his releases. Voice Memos, was inconsistent but showed potential for something great. FMTY in comparison to Voice Memos was a tremendous leap in an artistic sense, but still felt like he could deliver more. IDMTHY is the culmination of everything Quadeca was aiming for with this experimental genre, and he delivers an outstanding project, consistent throughout all 11 tracks and leaving us waiting and wanting more. Flawless.
Despite thinking some tracks felt too short, Joji once again gives us an amazing body of work. Loved every single song. Can't wait for what's to come.
At the time when this came out, it was a surprise on how much better Scotty was from the other "YouTube Singers/Rappers". He showed great potential and frankly, great raw talent. Overall the project has its flaws, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable listen.
Amazing, simple as that. The depth shown in the lyrics, along side the unique and stylistic production reveal Jon to be one of the great hidden gems in the industry.
This breakout project shows why Jon is incomparable when it comes to his music. Unique production, unique lyrics, everything. And his passion for what he does is felt in every single way possible.
Another great example on why Jon is so unique and remarkable with his craft. Amazing body of work!
