HER WORST ALBUM. WEAK LYRICS, REPETITIVE BEATS AND NO ARTISTIC GROWTH AT ALL.
The BLACKPINK girls return with a varied proposal and with the intention of positioning themselves as one of the best girl groups of our generation. "The Album" breaks away from the k-pop label to offer musical genres of all kinds, the production is well done and the aesthetics of the album are good. However, it is necessary that these girls become much more involved in the musical content they offer, an evolution as significant artists if they do not want to bore the public and not ... read more
One of the best songs of the year overall. The BLACKPINK girls came back in full force.
'Smile' is not as horrible as they say. It contains some very well produced songs that capture Katy's soul as a pop artist, but others, however, seem superficial and with 0 real value. In my opinion, Katy should focus on getting back to her career, but in a smart and meaningful way. She is an icon, but she needs to reinvent herself if she doesn't want to be forgotten as an artist who could have been a legend.
KEY TRACKS: Cry About it Later, Not the End of the World & Teary Eyes.
'Never Really Over' is a mediocre pop song (for Katy's standards) but optimistic, in my opinion, they could pick a much better lead single.
A triumph. First of all, it seems like Swift's writing skills, storytelling and creating an atmosphere in each era cannot be beat by any artist. This album is a proposal for reflection, self-exploration and why not? to step back and become melancholy of what was and could have been. I must confess that I had high expectations for this work, since its announcement it gave me the idea of an album with the vibe of her song "Safe & Sound" (2012). An excellent album but I have to ... read more
“Cardigan” is without a doubt one of the best candidates for the song of the year. Taylor's writing ability is simply amazing.
The problem with ‘CALM’ and in particular with the group, is that it does not have an identity of its own. The songs are good but generic, like a combination of The 1975 + Maroon 5 at its most mediocre form. I would love for these talented young people to share personal stories and real feelings on their next album. It's a shame.
KEY TRACKS: Easier & Red Desert.
Easier is the best song in CALM, a good choice for a lead single. Young and fresh af.
Ellie puts a lot of effort into 'Brightest Blue' but it doesn't live up to expectations 100%. As the meaning and sequence of the album are somewhat lost, it is difficult to realize what she wants to express. There are more good moments than bad on this album, but I was hoping for better.
KEY TRACKS: Brightest Blue & Worry About Me.
It's a pop song with nothing special, it's nice but not impressive.
'Chromatica' is presented as a dance album in its entirety. The lyrical content and production are carried out in a very good way. However, the idea of the album is not very clear to me, is it an album of self-improvement and reflection? Or a science fiction album that is lost at times with current life?
KEY TRACKS: Rain on Me, Sine From Above & Fun Tonight.
A very interesting song, I imagine listening to it driving hours with my loads and worries. I liked.
