Red is one of the singer's best albums, her transition from Country to Pop is subtle and well-constructed. The work addresses love in its rawest and most intense form, with lyrics that range from reciprocated love, mourning, personal growth, nostalgia, memories and emotional freedom. Red is a competent and relevant work for her career.
