David Bowie - Low
100

In an attempt to ditch his crippling cocaine addiction, Bowie left Los Angeles and packed his bags to Europe. This move would see Bowie joining forces with Tony Visconti and Brian Eno. The three would go on to create the “Berlin Trilogy” with Low being the first installment. This record marks the beginning of Bowie’s experimentation with electronic and ambient music, a sound that is prevalent throughout the trilogy. David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

Bowie’s best record. “Five years” is one of the all-time album openers. The songwriting, the sense of dread in Bowie’s vocals and how the instrumentation swells perfectly encapsulates what’s to come on this record. Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
100

All-time favorite album. Nonstop joyride from front to back packed full of infectious melodies, incredible vocals and of course unbelievable guitar performances which culminates in the other worldly title track. In conjunction with Let’s Go Crazy, I don’t think there’s a better combination of opener and closer music has to offer. This is what it sounds like when one of the all-time greats is at the peak of his powers.
