Extended version of an already decent song, can't complain
It's a tad mediocre, feels slow but its okay background music. I can vibe with it tbh
I tried to stomach listening to this, I got bored very quickly. The standout track was OakGroveRoad and the rest just fell flat. Stuck in 2015 album.
It just feels like he sings with such a smug smile. Every lyric doesn't feel genuine.
Generic pop that's okay to listen to every so often. Nothing amazing but it's not harming anyone.
Probably one of the most generic-sounding tracks this year.
At times, this record feels like it was passed on from the likes of Lauv or maybe even Finneas. It has some alright tracks but doesn't compete with his debut solo release. Hopefully, the next one outshines this. The best track on here is Close My Eyes.
Whether you agree or not, this really shows Luke needs to step away from the band and focus on himself. His solo music outshines most of the band's work.
Amnesia and English Love Affair are the standout tracks on this. The rest all feel the same and are trying to ride off the success of She Looks So Perfect. Entirely one of their worst albums but it did solidify them as a group.
Ahhhhhhh, I remember what it felt like when I first listened to this album. It's definitely not their best but, not their worst at all. It has very cringy lyrics which I somehow like. The Pop Punk feel of this album was the last we got from this band but showed they were maturing since the debut LP.
This is definitely the best album when it comes to 5 Seconds of Summer. Now, that doesn't mean it's amazing but a lot of the instrumentals and some of the lyrics really do stand out. The worst track is Emotions, featuring very cringe lyrics while also feeling like a rejected MGK punk record.
I'm coming into this review with definite experience with this album. It used to be amazing, but the hooks do feel quite dated, with great production and very cringy lyrics. I don't think it'll survive the test of time. Youngblood still stands out as the best track on this LP.
