If you're completely new to their music you may be surprised at just how much autotune is used in this album, and if you're here because of how much you liked 'Tek It' then it's gonna be the same case. This album got 5 times better down the line, I'm really torn on a couple of songs in the beginning but the last couple of tracks really reward you for sticking through the entire thing. The big hit here, 'Tek It' took a good 3 listens to click on me but it ... read more
Contrary to the general consensus I'm seeing here, I actually am a fan of this album. There's pretty limited content in this album (7 songs with one not being longer than 90 seconds), which actually works in its favour given how experimental a sound Veronica opted to go with for this recording, I think had there been more songs in here they would have lost their novelty. This is not the 2011 Veronica Maggio in any sense, but it's nice to see her work with something different. I ... read more
For a band that had been away from the industry for nearly 40 years and with everything that happened in the interim, this is more than adequate a comeback. It's got elements of their hit album 'Pet Sounds' sprinkled all over it, thus speaking to both nostalgic fans from their golden era and new people trying to expand their music horizons through timeless classics. The last song, 'Summer's Gone', is actually more about them being gone forever and it's a ... read more
Nobody can really get this genre done quite like Bastille. I knew this album included one of my favourite songs of all time prior to delving into it, and whilst nothing came close to that particular song, a) it was always gonna be nigh on impossible and b) this genuinely is peak music. 75% of these songs found their way to my playlist, as im in LOVE with the instrumental and Dan's vocals throughout.
SONG RATINGS:
1. Send Them Off! - 100/100
2. The Currents - 97/100

Kehlani's fifth studio work, hopping on the "naming my album after myself" train that's been running for some time now. Actually I thought most artists do that with their debut release but alas, here we are. I've talked quite a bit about such a trivial matter because I need to fill this review with something, as there really isn't much to mark in the album itself. Her solo songs, most of them at least, sound lazy, perhaps hastily written, there's absolutely no ... read more
Some of the best music I have EVER heard. Genuinely speechless. This guy has a brand new fan in me.

Oh yes. AbsoLUTELY yes. This is hyperpop of the highest calibre. This is TOP notch music. I was a bit hesitant before clicking play since I thought she wasn't really my thing but she managed to reel me in with 'Machine Girl' and then completely blow me away with 'Death By Devotion'. THIS is how you make yourself known to a wider audience. Musically and lyrically wise, this has sexy Segments all over yet it's so cohesive, at no point does one ever feel lost whilst ... read more
Going into this, I had barely heard any PinkPantheress material before, so it was really a dive into the unknown. But I genuinely wanna thank my good friend James Madison (rip🙏🏼) for recommending this album to me. I've been turned into a PinkPantheress fan. There's really nothing wrong I can say that this album does, the instrumental is GORGEOUS through every single track and the inclusion of 'Intermission' perfectly sets the stage for the change in scenery between ... read more
A legendary band releasing yet another legendary album. If you even remotely liked their 2008 album you're gonna love this. It's got something in it for every palate, there are happy, cheerful, carefree tunes with such elegantly written lyrics like Genom Eld Och Vatten, the lead single of the album and their biggest hit of their career, and there's also room for more melancholic and sorrowful melodies in the face of Vinterland and Gullvivskrans. This is their best effort ever and ... read more
After a god knows how-many-years wait, Carti FINALLY dropped his album, with artists such as Travis Scott and The Weeknd being featured. You can tell he was aiming really high with this pile of songs, but the aftertaste you're left with is a bit... underwhelming. or maybe there's no aftertaste at all. There's some stuff to look out for for sure, but overall this didn't quite live up to its potential.

There's a clear divide between the standout songs and the 'filler' ones here, and I don't really like using that term since it's still nice music but it just perfectly describes what's going on in this album. There are a couple of REALLY good songs, particularly driven by some excellent drops and, generally, meticulously composed instrumentation, which easily found a place in my playlist, but I just feel like I needed more of the album to stand on the same level ... read more
It finally feels like Benjamin has landed on an artistic identity that he feels comfortable with and wants to back with his music. There is nothing groundbreaking to find in this album, there are loads of irritatingly pleasant ABBA-sounding pop tracks, making for an easy listen throughout. A certain downside were all the interludes in between the tracks but it's nothing i couldn't get past when around half of the songs are just this easygoing and sing-along-able. There are some tunes ... read more
This is such a strong offering from Ace. It's got her distinctive sound in nigh on all the tracks, one can instantly tell it's her music, but she's also crossed into slightly unknown territory in tracks like 'Strawberry' and 'Do U Like', with the latter having an unbelievably catchy hook and drop, thus making it the standout track of the EP, but it's not like the others are falling behind either. This was also the EP that's included her most well ... read more
