This is easily Bowie’s best box set/ compilation, with a fantastic range of his career, different music styles and all sorts of other love bits and bobs. Really fleshed out and different enough to not fade too much into the background over its pretty long runtime. I often will play it when I have lots of work to do that I don’t need to focus on; it keeps me entertained for the whole duration.
It’s really obvious that each track chosen is the best performance or remaster or whatever version of it, and a serious amount of care and time went into choosing the tracklist, and with a discography like Bowie’s and a 6LP runtime it really maximises both. Any shorter and it would be missing something and longer and it wouldn’t be as commercially viable (although if any label execs decide they want to print a 10LP comp of Bowie please let me know I’ll happily volunteer for a focus group with a copy as payment)
Anyway; very good highly recommend; go listen to it
