This is a rare type of catchy, jangly, hooky 80s Sophistipop with incredibly sincere lyrics. The only group that can move me to tears while I snap my fingers. The archetype of the 80s Sophistipop style. Excellent playing, stellar production. A gem that influenced too many to name. Just wow.
A wonderful collage of dance, pop, ambient beats and masterful editing. Anthemic in nature, brings flavors and themes of M83, Moby, some soundtracks aka Curtis Mayfield and of course Nicolas Jaar's own signature sound. Well worth a listen.
Very underrated. Echos of Tame Impala, Avalanches, and Sampha all rolled into one. The opening track is worth the price of admission for the dramatic chorus.
