This album is very passionate. The vocals, though rough, are very passionate, with simple, yet heart-string pulling lyrics. The guitars, whether twinkly, soft, and arpeggiated, or hard-hitting and distorted, the guitars are very passionate. The bass and drums are passionate. Everything here is passionate, making for a bittersweet feeling to the entire project. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much they experimented with sound and structure. Even with the experimentation, though, the songs on here can tend to have a similar aesthetic and sound, with the songwriting being aimless at times too, leaving for the songs to sometimes blend together, lessening the impact they have, and leaving me a bit confused. Still, a great overall album with solid tracks. Probably will come back.
