One of the only indie albums where the compositions are as rich and full as the themes and lyrics of each song. Every song on Illinois feels like it’s own feature film—you can dissect every frame and strip it down to its DNA—complete with its multiple interpretations, rich atmospheres, beautiful backgrounds, and fun regional Easter eggs. Maybe the best album ever?
