Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet

lives up to its title. kind of.

the way Sabrina reached incredible popularity height this year is insane, which is funny, because her debut album was released in 2015 and Short n’ Sweet is her 6th album, actually. anyway, everyone knows Espresso and Please Please Please by now, and, i’m gonna be honest, these singles made me somewhat excited for this record.

the 3 opening songs were what i expected and, frankly, wanted – the production is nice, Sabrina’s vocals ... read more

Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)

ok, so my friend asked me to listen to this (fu).
i haven’t listened to any Eminem song prior. i have no idea who Slim Shady is, so i had to figure all these things out, because apparently this album is also a concept one.

Sampha - Lahai

i don’t think it’s possible to overstate how beautiful Sampha’s voice is, literally an angel. because of this, and soothing instrumentals of course, i literally can’t feel anything but calmness and serenity when listening to Lahai. as for lyrics… yeah, i’m not the most qualified person to talk about it – i just can’t really read into any lyrics in general. but they do seem to be beautifully written.

Jessie Ware - That! Feels Good!

this opening…

it does feel good to listen to this album – groovy and funky rhythms bring only joy and make you want to dance.

Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version)

i don’t have much to say about it, especially since i’m not going to compare this to the original (almost). 1989 is THE pop album. love Taylor’s matured vocals. From The Vault tracks are indeed her best ones, too, but for me it wasn’t a high bar to pass.

what happened to Style?
