This is a slow burn, despite only being 4 and a half minutes the song keeps its cards to its chest for as long as it can and in some ways that is both a net positive and a net negative for the song.
For the positive, it helps the listener really get lost in the song, for the first 2 minutes the song is basically just a single guitar loop that doesn't change octaves or chords but only has little other sounds added to it, this wouldn't normally work but because of how the production is made to sound a bit reverberated so it comes off not scary, not poorly mixed but somewhere right in the middle, where it sounds chilling. The second part with the drums isn't done perfectly, the production is a bit muddled and the melodies don't really compliment each other that well, the vibe of this track instantly skyrockets and becomes way more enjoyable/calming.
For the negative, it gets to a point where you get bored and are just waiting for something to happen, even the little sounds of other guitars that are added on top work really only as atmosphere pieces that are meant to distract you from the emptiness of the song, which weirdly works for the song at hand. Even in the second part of the song, the drums should keep the song flowing and orignal and while they do a quite good job at that, it can't distract from the first parts emptyness on relistens.
