Honestly, my only gripe with this album is that it's too short. There are multiple songs that I felt could be fleshed out to be a minute longer. It leaves you wishing for more, and not in a good way. Beautiful music, though!
I write this review as a fan who wishes Arcade Fire would do better for themselves. This album is aight. It's not terrible, and it's not a masterpiece. Many of the songs are inoffensive. I'm sure many people will enjoy it, and many others will dislike it. It's Arcade Fire; when have they not been divisive in some way?
