As it is an abstract album, there can be different interpretations of this masterpiece, but I view this following the life of a man in reverse. With Lupe being born in spring the same year TRON first cam out, the winter section is merely his upbringing, but it watches him growing up into a young adult, into a full on adult at mural, reaching his highest potential and is lyrical masterpiece. Beautiful soothing production, with hypnotic perfect singing, truly one of the best albums ever
Doechii had a surprisingly good feature, and west side Gunn had a surprisingly short feature #justice4westsidegunn
I do think this album could’ve really used some of the og singles tho such as Highjack and Rubys Rosary, but overall had very entertaining moments
I love the uniqueness of this album that Danny has not done before and he does really well on the hyperpop inspired sound this has some of his most personal songs and amazing features from Quadeca
It is a near flawless album but it’s got standouts like Like silent hill that aren't that good, but it’s also got some of Kendrick’s best tracks and nice -yet simple- production that’s soul warming
I was shocked how good this was the first time I heard it, very strong EP, especially for an underground rapper, however it doesn’t have the strongest writing or the best samples, but truly an amazing project
Amazing album with immense lyricism and fantastic writing showing just how skilled Earl is.
(THIS ISN’T A TAKE AWAY) The Album is very complex and difficult to dissect, so I’m probably not giving enough credit to some songs
It is a unique album with Showings of curry’s versatility It has plenty of bangers yet also Very soulful beats and verses. With the album being about his mental health he makes sure to be very personal in it even about interests such as Star Wars. Overall it is an Amazing album and possibly In my top 10 fav albums, and at least the 2nd best album of the 2020’s decade for rap
I never knew what being suicidal felt like before listening to ts ✌️
Tom MacDonald literally says “the real racist people are black people” ts hurts
Beautiful album with jazz beats, smooth synths and Amazing conscience rapping and storytelling. He goes over Topics like racial supremacy, to his mom, to loving yourself, overall might be the best album ever, places number 2 for me
JID continues to show us his mastery of storytelling on this album and even advances his lyrical prowess. He also gives this album a more unique edgy feel making it feel raw and rough.
Decided to relisten to this again and its still just as good, it is so introspective to his life and we haven't seen that till now, plus, it has my fav interlude and my fav song oat
I just want to add to this rq, the production seems to feel so simple but resonates so much with me, the overall tone of the album can shift between more melancholy, somber, or bittersweet, but it can also be strangely uplifting with perfect samples mixed in.
