So many bops but could do with more songs over 3 minutes and it would've pushed my rating over 90. Like a few songs could've used a bridge or gave the catchy chorus another go for a final hook. Nonetheless, another really good debut album from the Little Mix girls. Jade and Leigh are killing it with their gorgeous melodies and adlibs! 🔥
I had thoughts before of how Jade would or if she even could make more hits like the singles and tracks in her debut album. She came in strong and I was skeptical of how her sophmore album can be any stronger than TSB! But with her release of its deluxe The Encore, I'm never doubting her again of continuing to create amazing songs. She has her sophmore album in the bag with how it seems like she can never write a bad song.
I waited awhile to let this album marinate as it wasn't love at first listen compared to her previous music. But now I can confidently admit that while this isn't her best work (I would perhaps put it in the middle of her entire discography) it's still a solid album to jam to if you don't mind the lyricism...
