cling cling and hold your hand are extremely mid-tier songs, which makes it feel like a sick joke when display and ijiwaru na hello come on
this was one of the first songs as a kid i can remember hearing whose lyrics specifically (as opposed to other aspects of the song) had me screaming crying throwing up punching the walls and ground etc
this is the worst thing that's ever happened to me. 90 on a sabrina carpenter single. i'll blow up the city dam
i wish this EP had individual track ratings so you could see how high i would rate android& just on its own
these tracks are what convinced me to put my eyes back on perfume again after years when this came out. i was so happy to hear this that i actually wasn't sure if i was hallucinating. "i love a NEW perfume song?", i thought to myself. looking back on it now, it was definitely the final turning point in their discography. they'd have a couple more misses after ... read more
genuinely top shelf pop (and props for COMPLETELY changing how that ueberschall sample sounded!)
he's really not but at least the bonus track was pretty nice. is tom the producer on all of these? he should stick to that and maybe stay away from the mic
legitimately gave me a nosebleed as if i had irl suffered injury from it
this is definitely not top shelf music by any stretch of the imagination but if the game worked for you in a horror sense relistening to the ost is genuinely a little hair raising. which is pretty neat, i like that salvato managed to make a (for the most part) easy listening ost that sounds scary if you heard it in context the first time. that's interesting to me
extremely strange remix of t-pocket's 1925. while in a genre i normally really enjoy, i actually think this version of the song destroys a bit of the charm of the original. the chorus works in this style, but it's just not as gripping. i also find a dance remix of a song about the introduction of western industrialization into japan jarring (though it is funny)
the other two tracks are painfully mid to me. once again mad i sat through it
the fact that this is rated as highly as it is should be a crime this album sounds like the producer just started making music a week ago when they were hired. only "technopop" artist i hadn't heard much of at all until now and i can safely say there's a reason this slipped through the cracks
chaosmaid is one of the most musically impressive vocal synth songs of all time but unfortunately the rest of this album makes it sound like that may have been an accident
i am voting with a caveat, the only version of this i have heard is a youtube upload that had some kind of digitization error that causes the album to rhythmically degrade as it goes on. it's great, and the specific lyrics it stops or skips on tell an interesting story even if completely accidental. highly recommend
i do have a legitimate serious interest in dvd, cd, vcd, vcr, and vhs cleaners. they're under-archived and it's hard to come by recordings of them online. that's the reason i stumbled onto this. luckily, i'm also the exact type of person for this album, so it really moreso found me.
i've tried to do something cool and experimental with recordings of cd laser lens cleaners before, this album left me with music dyspmorphia. i'm literally jealous
I'll admit that after years and years and years of listening to the title track to this album and group, it took me embarrassingly long to realize there was a full album, and humiliatingly long to actually listen to it. unfortunately, i don't really believe that this album does what it's clearly setting out to do.
firstly, if you don't know, this is a group formed between pop vocalist Shibasaki Kou, and producers DECO*27 and TeddyLoid. if those last two names surprise you, ... read more
why is this the "weird and unfitting" ost? what gained it that reputation aside from jontron screaming at it or whatever? i have to wonder how many people who say this are familiar with sonic or even specifically with sonic r.
i genuinely think this album fits both its game and series perfectly. i'd even go so far as to say it fits its console and release year perfectly. i'd go so far as to say you may literally learn more about the identity of this series music repertoire ... read more
this album feels like outsider music made by someone with insider training. like, as in, it feels like absrdst either does not know or forgot how to write music while making the album. this combined with its obsession with appearing Sexy while Deep gives it an unbelievably corny tone that is never ever helped by its lackluster production or songwriting. not egregiously bad in every respect, but certainly not very good either.
i actually think my favorite track on the list was imaginary friend, ... read more
i'm honestly unsure of why people consider this to be the best of the series. don't get me wrong, this album has some absolute standout tracks (fluvial beat deposits particularly being one of the best songs i've ever heard. no wonder it became a prime target for reuse), but i don't know, if you ask me, its low points are low enough to make it worse as an overall listening experience.
like, picking out just the really crazy good stuff does make it sound phenomenal, but we all ... read more
