Division Street - Waves
92

Wwith many of my favorite albums of all time from this genre, Division Street's Waves reminds me of a time where I wasn't in a need to worry, stress, and just to purely relax.

Those gentle days at the beach were just a walk away, and now it feels like I barely go there.

The production of this album is wonderfully amazing and I would kill to see them perform it live in person.

Whitewoods - Spaceship Earth

This album is pretty short, like reaaally short. Nonetheless, it provides a well created synthpop experience. Certainly one of the staple albums within the genre.

Hotel Pools - Fall '18
92

As a kid, there was one location I would beg my parents to take me too all the time for a holiday. That being up to Queensland in the Whitsunday Islands. Utterly gorgeous in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, tropics the far as the eye can see. Pure paradise.

This album, to me, is the audible experience of both arriving, staying and departing those gorgeous islands. I genuinely feel as if I am back in paradise with each and every listening experience of Fall 18'.

desert sand feels warm at night - 新世界の弟子たち [New World Disciples]
93

In my humble, unimportant opinion, this is Desert's masterpiece. His magnum opus. His crown jewel. His chef-d'oeuvre.

From each track, top to bottom, perfection followed. Lying down and listening to this for the first time, it felt like I was sinking into the sandy desert that was this album.

One of the most gentle, soft and plush albums i've ever heard in my life. Listening to this on a blistering, summer night is very much so on the bucket list for this year.

Nmesh & t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - ロストエデンへのパス [The Path to Lost Eden]
89

The Path to Lost Eden, I find, at least, can only be described as one word. D E N S E.

Which perfectly describes what this album aimed to represent. A DENSE and mystical forest.

Nmesh, while heavily implementing sometimes startling and or deepened vocals (which aren't a common enjoyment of mine), he executes them surprisingly well in most circumstances; almost as if they were blending into the music like voices from a time came before. On the opposite side, the ambient side is incredibly ... read more

t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - 現実を超えて [Beyond Reality]
89

Beyond Reality, as with the rest of Telepath's standout releases, continues to this day to act as a perfect benchmark for primarily Slushwave, but also Vaporwave media as a whole.

It's dreamy, gentle grasp instantly grabs you from the start, and leads you on a huge, deepened journey until it reaches the end. The washed out vocals almost feeling hallucinatory as it continues down the album.

Yet another wonderful album from Telepath, would highly recommend.

t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - 星間性交 [Interstellar Intercourse]

One of Telepath's most popular works certainly lives up to the reputation it has been given all these years. Silky, dreamy, S M O O T H.

As we come closer to this album's 10th anniversary, it still lives up to not only modern day standards of Slushwave; but presents itself as one hell of a benchmark for years to come. No matter the time, the listening experience will make you feel identical to the album cover; drifting through space without a care in the world.

Webinar™ - w w w . d e e p d i v e . c o m
94

It is common knowledge that music is heavily subjective. Everything resonates with everyone differently.

And to me, this album has resonated with me to the point that not many others have done so. Webinar's most popular work, maybe even his magnum opus as of current day is a blessing to the ears and the mind.

From the first blast of "Sunburst" down to the last track "Untitled", Webinar devolves into and an auditory heaven of what many people at my age would call the ... read more

"@KillerBeast You’re all good! He released this to do a Vinyl release of it I believe. So it’s technically more of a compilation more than an album, but it’s still classified as an LP soooo hahaha."
