The onslaught on Disc 29 is watered down by a streak of run-of-the-mill and rather ordinary tracks on Disc 39, although its first two tracks may be the best on the whole album. Still a solid project but could have been a much more entertaining experience with some tracks trimmed down and some better experimentation with vocals.
Filled with some of the most hectic and futuristic, while mainstream beats Kanye has ever put out. The two duds are still pretty detrimental but overall still a classic level album.
This album always comes off as his most grandiose and over-the-top work. The beats are filled with orchestral melodies that fuse with his verses to really pound on your heart sometimes.
A top 5 debut in all of hip-hop history, only lacking behind the 3 New York rappers that would all somewhat serve as influences to his style. The introduction of perhaps the greatest artist to ever grace the genre of hip-hop as well, so by all means a culturally significant masterpiece. Only thing is that sometimes I don't enjoy this album too much compared to others. Still has its classic songs for sure, so easily at least a 90.
